Mediterranea – bowl

The Mediterranean bowl depicting sardines was created by sisters Ivana and Saura, founders of Bottega Ceramiche Vignoli in Faenza.
Their research into shapes and decorations is not limited to the Faenza figurative tradition, but is inspired by Mediterranean styles, with contaminations from Islamic, Hispano-Moorish, Roman and Byzantine cultures.
It is made using a special technique called reduction firing ceramics, which makes each object a unique piece.
