Magewappa tray made of blue lacquered Akita cedar wood, hand-curved in the city of Odate in northern Japan.
Its shape echoes that of the koban (小判) a Japanese gold coin from the Edo period.
Available in two sizes, small and large, the joint detail is made from cherry bark.
