Tenugui Mt. Fuji

Pure cotton tenugui (手拭い) depicting Mount Fuji, hand-decorated by Chota-san using the Katazome stencil dyeing technique. Unhemmed, tenugui is mainly used to dry hands and body but is also used as a kitchen cloth. If particularly decorated, it can be given as a souvenir (omiyage お土産) or hung inside the home walls for decorative purposes.
